Piazza di Spagna is one of the most known and appreciated squares in Italy and abroad. It is in a beautiful scenic setting marked by the church of "Trinit dei Monti", and on the Spanish Steps often take place high fashion parades. The staircase is considered also the principal a meeting place for many young people in the capital. At the foot of the steps you can admire the beautiful fountain of Barcaccia, previously attributed to the master Pietro Bernini and indeed created by his son Gian Lorenzo. The fountain emblematically recalls the flood of 1958, when the typical vessels for the transport of goods, precisely known as "Barcacce", drove up to the point where it currently stands. From the Spanish steps branch off the most famous street including Via Condotti, where you collect the most elegant boutiques and the most prestigious brands and Via Margutta, an old neighborhood of artists, especially the painters.

The Church of "Trinit dei Monti" that overlooks the staircase was built in 1502 by the will of the king of France Louis XII and consecrated in 1585 by Sixtus IV. Inside you find an interesting deposition by Daniele from Volterra, a follower of the grat artist Michelangelo.
